Hey Lynda, Glad to see a post from you. I was wondering if you were OK. I laughed when I read about you and your mom dining out. Sounds quite a bit like me and my mom. -

I hope you are feeling better today. Everyone has an off day especially when they don't feel well. The thing is not to give up and to get right back on the program and you already did that. You're doing great, you go girl!! -

Building Self-Efficacy Am loving what you have all written about this task.... it does take some soul searching, doesn't it?
Anyway, in order for me to lose weight I need to forget about the seemingly, insurmountable journey of needing to lose 65 lbs and just focus on the daily challenges of sticking with the basics, such as making sure I keep drinking plenty of water, to keep a careful eye on those daily numbers and to keep on reading food labels!
I learned some time ago that I used to want to eat when I was tired - looking at the triggers for eating and the repeated patterns of behaviour in the past were very helpful....and I've pretty much sorted out the emotional eating I used to do, too, and so for me the missing piece of the puzzle was discovering that I'm a protein type in the metabolic type testing.
I'm also wondering how much stress plays a part in my story, too. Although I'm not aware of feeling stressed, apparently I'm one of those people whose body shows the stress that I'm not aware of, so I've had physical responses such as a nasty case of shingles in my eye. I plan to begin yoga to help with this.

Building Self-Efficacy Hi! I've been trying to catch up on posts - had a very busy couple of days - and hadn't even realised that you'd started this group already, Laine.
But it's a great idea and I love the picture, too! Whuhoooo. I shall ponder my thoughts and post more later.....

Is Wensleydale cheese? Sounds interesting.
Be careful with dates. The glycemic index rating is 103. Pure glucose is 100 and table sugar is 64. That is why they taste like "candy". Hi, the Bum Thumb is not as "Bum" anymore! Thank you for asking =) I was finally able to do non-biking exercise beginning earlier this week, but again-- the injury reminded me how much I love to sit on the stationary bike and read my books =) It's such a guilty pleasure. Thank you for checkin' in on me! -
