Every Good Little Irish Girl...

So, everyone knows that every Good Little Irish Girl must celebrate St. Paddy's Day... =) I've always loved this holiday, b/c it's the one holiday that everyone seems to celebrate and just be happy about on the day, but it's not all about MONEY (e.g. Christmas, Valentine's, etc.). Everyone just gets together to enjoy friendship, good company, and maybe have a libation... or two... or three....

Well, for this little Irish Girl, one glass of house Chardonnay at our favorite restaurant last night was enough to have me feeling REALLY tipsy, chatting up the wait staff like an *almost* crazy person, and having my entire table of friends "LMAO-ing" at me. It also brought on the pain last night/this morning... I didn't sleep from 12:30 until 5:00 a.m., and have felt HORRIBLE all day since. UGH. I'm sure my husband at least loved that I was a cheap drunk last night, though-- they were Happy Hour-priced libations last night, at least.

I haven't hadn't a drink since our trip to NYC in early December, and my crystal ball of "Hindsight is 20/20" tells me that with the way I feel today, it may just be another 3 months before I have another alcoholic drink (maybe longer!)! ha ha!

The ONLY good thing about it was that the dehydration put me down another pound this morning on the scale... but I'm not entering it in the weight tracker b/c I know it's not real weight loss =)

With all of my running around for the party I was hosting last night, I had one Michelob Ultra and that was it! Unfortunately, we bought a lot of beer for our guests that they did not drink, but we go show more

Nice work with your perspective on the scale Krysten. I know it's so easy to get tricked into believing that dehydration and/or water retention is real weight loss. It shows you have a very healthy mi show more
