    What's your favorite tea?

    jillith71 posted on: 3/12/10
So I've noticed that there are a lot of tea drinkers here on the site. I've never been a "hot cup of tea" kind of girl, but it sounds good. What kind of tea is your favorite, and when do you typically drink it?

I love a cup of French Vanilla tea which I make with Bigilow French Vanilla tea bags. They are awesome but if I don't have them, a cup of plain tea with either Coffeemate or International sugarfree french vanilla creamers are good too

If I go out the Chai is very good but I have to have sugarfree and sometimes that is harder to find. Chai has a cinnaminn taste to it. As much as I love tea, I do NOT like the green teas that are so good for you. I guess they are an aquired taste.

I like the kind of tea you make by pouring water through coffee grounds. ;)

If I just want something that's warm to sip on I like Earl Grey or English Breakfast - always with milk, splenda and honey. If I'm feeling under the weather I like something like Refresh (it's Tazo brand) because it has a mint undertone that feels good on my throat - with honey and splenda.

Stash "Licorice" tea is awesome. The natural sweetness of the licorice is excellent after dinner in place of dessert and licorice naturally helps to digest your food so there is a double benefit.

I also really like Holy Basil (Tulsi) Tea. It naturally helps with stress management (I need that!!!!!). It is very soothing and relaxing.

Honestly, I like a steaming cup o' orange pekoe, any brand will do. My paternal grandmother only drinks tetley orange pekoe and my maternal grandparents will only drink red rose orange pekoe. I like it all. I also love Tazo and Oregan Chai tea concentrates (think Chai latte from starbucks). I also don't mind Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane (which is essentially peppermint green tea).

I have recently started drinking Holy Basil tea because of its incredible health benefits and help with managing stress (which I definitely need). Here is a link to a great article on it.
