iChange is a great way to track how you are progressing with your health goals. Once you familiarize yourself with a few simple features on the site, you will find that using iChange will become second nature. To get started, let me point out some of the most important features:

How do I change my username or password?

Login and go to the Account Settings page to update/change your username or password.

How do I communicate with my Wellness Coach?

You can send a Private Message to your Coach at any time from iChange. Just click on the envelope icon at the top right to go to your "Inbox". From there click "create message" and begin typing your coach’s name in the "To:" field. You and your Coach will correspond regularly this way.

Can I change Wellness Coaches?

Yes. You are free to change Wellness Coaches at any time. You can do so by visiting the Profile Landing page for the coach you’d like to switch to and clicking the orange “Click to Join” button on their page. You will see a page to confirm the switch once you do that you will be enrolled and connected with the new coach and disconnected from the former coach.

How do I update my progress?

Your Coach will monitor your progress daily to ensure you get the best results. Each day, you should fill out the tracker information for your food, exercise, water, stress, sleep etc. These are located as tabs underneath the quick entry box on your homepage.

What is my starting weight?

Your starting weight on iChange is the weight you started at when you joined iChange.

How can I change my starting weight or weigh-in regularly?

To change your starting weight or to weigh in, hover over the Tools menu at the top of our page and select My Body.

I entered my starting weight incorrectly and now I’ve received badges that don't reflect my actual weight lost. How do I remove those badges?

If you find you have earned a weight loss (or any other) badge in error, send an email to feedback@ichange.com and tell us the titles of the badges you would like removed and we will remove them for you. A link to send feedback is accessible from any page by hovering over your name at the top right.

Does iChange have a mobile app?

The iChange mobile web app is available for iPhone and Android phones. To access it just type www.ichange.com from your phones browser and login.

NOTE: if you used Facebook Connect to initially login to iChange you will need to visit the Account Settings page in your iChange account first to set a password before you can use the mobile app.

Can I share photos with my friends?

Yes, you can upload photos, documents, pdf’s or video and attach them to journal entries, private messages or group posts to share with friends. To do this, select the journal icon from your homepage and click into the journal subject box. Just click the paperclip link that says “Attach Media” to add your photo or other attachment.

How do I invite friends to join me on iChange?

There are two ways to connect with others on iChange.

  1. Hover over the Community tab on the top toolbar, click Invite Friends. You can invite friends who are already on iChange by searching for their username or visiting their profile page by clicking on their profile picture in the activity feed.
  2. You can Invite friends not currently on iChange from the Invite Friends page using their email address and the form we provide.

Who can create a group?

Any iChange member or Wellness Coach can create a group. Groups can be either public or private (invite only). To create a group, go to Groups on the top toolbar and click 'Create Group'.

How do I invite friends to join my Group?

On the right side of the group page, under the group picture you will see "Invite Friends" click and begin inviting other iChange members! NOTE: If the group is a private group, only the group creator can invite friends to join. If you are in a private group and would like to have a friend invited you may send a request to the group creator.

I created a group and I want to invite friends by posting the group link on my Facebook wall, but the link doesn't connect. What could be wrong?

Make sure you have connected your iChange account to your Facebook account. If you haven't done so, go to Account Settings and connect your account from there.

I created a group but I would like to delete it, how can I delete this group?

As long as you are the creator of the group you can delete it by going to the group page and clicking the "Delete" link in the right column. If you have any group members (including yourself) you may have to remove everyone first. To do this click to "view all" members on the right column and click the "x" button that is at the bottom right of each members photo.

I am getting too many emails from my group. How can I cut down the message frequency?

Start by turning off group email notifications. Go to the group page and uncheck the box on the right side for "email notifications". You will no longer receive an email each time someone posts to this group.

NOTE: You can check the box next to "email digest” so that you don't miss out on what goes on in the group and the community that is developing. The email digest option will only send you one email per day, at the end of the day, containing all the comments for the group from that day.

I am getting too many emails from a friend, is there anyway to hide their posts or lessen the number of emails I receive?

Yes, you can turn off the email notifications for individual friends journal entries from the My Friends page. Under the subscribe column a red envelope indicates the email notifications for journals are currently "off" and a green one indicates they are "on". Those friends’ journal entries will still be visible in your activity feed.

Where can I keep track of my body measurements, weigh in or change my starting weight?

When you are logged in, hover your cursor over Tools at the left of the top menubar and click My Body.

How do I make a public post to someone's profile page?

To post on your friend’s wall, go to their profile page by clicking on their profile picture. Messages you post to a friend’s page will be viewable by anyone who views their profile.

How do I send a private message?

You can send a Private Message to an iChange friend at any time. Just click on the envelope icon at the top right to go to your "Inbox". From there click "create message" and begin typing your friend’s name in the "To:" field.

How do I remove a friend connection?

Go to your My Friends page found under the Community tab located on your top toolbar. You will see a listing of the friends you have on iChange. Find the corresponding username for the friend you would like to remove and click the "X" that is to the right. Your connection to that friend is now cancelled.

Is there a way to filter my activity feed to just see what I've done?

Yes, to filter for your own tracker entries click the down arrow next to “Everyone” and select, “Just Me”. This setting will remain persistent unless you change it back to “Everyone”.

How do I add an attachment to a Group message?

Go to your group page and write your message in the quick entry box and then click Attach Media. Select the item from your Media Gallery or upload a file from your computer. You can send doc, pdf, vml and many other documents.

How do I add the food I ate to the Nutrition Journal?

  1. Click the “apple” icon on your homepage will let you access the Nutrition Journal quick entry.
  2. Set the mealtime (breakfast, lunch etc)
  3. Put your cursor in the food entry field that says, “what did you eat”.
  4. Start typing the food you ate and the search results will appear as you type.
  5. Click on the result that most closely matches
  6. Verify the date and the privacy level
  7. Click “Save”

I entered my breakfast this morning but forgot to add something, is it too late?

No, you can add additional food anytime you want. Just search for the food and set the mealtime to whichever mealtime you’d like to add it to, verify the date and click “save”.

NOTE: If you have never entered food into that mealtime before, you can verify that the item was added to the correct day by looking at the activity feed item that will publish after you click save. But, if you have already published items to that mealtime previously a new activity feed item with your new addition to that meal will not be published but will be added to the initial item in your feed. Instead you can visit the Nutrition page to see the full listing of food in that meal.

How do I view meals I’ve eaten this past week?

You can view foods you entered today or within a date range by visiting the Nutrition page.

How can I edit a serving size for a food I already saved to the Activity feed?

You can edit the serving size for any food you ate by visiting the Nutrition page. Select the date you’d like to see and click the pencil icon to the right of the food item you’d like to edit.

How do I create a saved meal?

There are three ways to create a saved meal:

  1. Go to the My Saved Meals page and click “create meal”.
  2. Once you publish a meal to the nutrition journal click the “save meal” link in the upper right corner of the item in your activity feed.

How do I add a Saved Meal to my Nutrition Journal?

From the nutrition journal select the mealtime and type the title of a saved meal you have already created. Saved meals and items in your pantry always display at the top of your search results. Click on the title to select it. Verify the date and privacy level are correct. If all info looks correct click the orange “Save” button to publish the meal to your activity feed.

How do I add items to my pantry?

To add items to your pantry click the “+” button that is next to the food item of your meal or a friends meal when its published to the activity feed or on the Nutrition page.

I saved my meal and added items to My Pantry how do I access these items in the future?

From the top toolbar, under Tools select My Saved Meals or My Pantry. When searching for food for the nutrition journal items in your pantry will show up first in the search results automatically as you type in food to log into your food journal.

What do the icons to the left of my food search results mean?

The icons to the left of your food search results identify where the result is generated.

How do you calculate the caloric burn rate?

Today’s Summary currently uses the Harris-Benedict method, which is recognized by many dietitians, including Herbalife's own Susan Bowerman and nutritionists to be an effective way to estimate caloric burn.

How can I keep track of my fiber intake?

To view your total fiber grams eaten on 1 day or within a range go to the Nutrition page and set the date or date range that you’d like to view the total for. Fiber totals are also available from the Print Report on the Nutrition page.

Can I share my iChange activity on my other social networks?

Yes, currently you can share various activity feed items by hovering over the item you’d like to share. This will reveal an “envelope” which contains the share links for that item. Next, select the network you’d like to share to.

NOTE: To share your iChange progress on Facebook, go to your Account Settings page and make sure to connect your iChange account to your Facebook profile.

I don't see the food that I ate listed in your food database, how can I add it?

To add a food hover over Tools on the top toolbar and click “Add Food”. You can also add food by clicking on the link at the bottom of the food search results.

On MyFriends page, I see a listing of my friends and to the right of their name is a green envelope, what is this for?

The green envelope lets you turn on or off the email notifications you receive when a friend posts a journal entry. By default the envelope is green and you will be subscribed to receive email notifications to alert you when that friend creates a journal entry. To not receive these email notifications simple click the envelope to turn it red.

NOTE: Turning off the email notifications will not “block” or “hide” that friends journaling activity from your feed. You will still see their journal postings, but only within the activity feed on your homepage.
