iChange is a great way to track how you are progressing with your health goals. Once you familiarize yourself with a few simple features on the site, you will find that using iChange will become second nature. To get started, let me point out some of the most important features:
Basic iChange Site Info
How do I change my username or password?
Login and go to the Settings page and select “Profile”, on the right, to update/change your username. You can change your password by clicking the “Password” tab on the right side.
How do I communicate with my Wellness Coach?
You can send a Private Message to your Coach at any time from iChange. Just click on the envelope icon at the top right to go to your "Inbox". From there click "create message" and begin typing your coach’s name in the "To:" field. You and your Coach will correspond regularly this way.
Can I change Wellness Coaches?
Yes. You are free to change Wellness Coaches at any time. You can do so by visiting the Profile Landing page of the coach you’d like to switch to and clicking the orange “Click to join my program” button on their page. You will see a page to confirm the switch once you do that you will be enrolled and connected with the new coach and disconnected from the former coach.
How do I track my food and exercise?
Each day, you should fill out the tracker information for your food, exercise, water, stress, sleep etc. These are located as tabs underneath the quick entry box on your homepage.
What is my starting weight?
Your starting weight is the weight you were when you joined iChange.
How can I change my starting weight or weigh-in regularly?
To change your starting weight or to weigh in, hover over the Tools menu at the top of our page and select My Body.
I entered my starting weight incorrectly and now I’ve received badges that don't reflect my actual weight lost. How do I remove those badges?
If you find you have earned a weight loss (or any other) badge in error, send an email to feedback@ichange.com and tell us the titles of the badges you would like removed and we will remove them for you. A link to send feedback is accessible from any page by hovering over your name at the top right.
Does iChange have a mobile app?
The iChange mobile web site is optimized for iPhone and Android phones. To access it type www.ichange.com from your phones browser and login. If you have visited the “full site” in the past and you are not automatically redirected to the mobile version you can access it by typing www.ichange.com/mobile into your phone’s browser.
NOTE: if you used Facebook Connect to initially login to iChange you will need to visit the Settings page in your iChange account first to set a password before you can use the mobile app.
Can I share photos with my friends?
Yes, you can upload photos, documents, pdf’s or video files and attach them to journal entries, private messages or group posts to share with friends. To attach media to a journal entry do the following:
How do I invite friends to join me on iChange?
There are two ways to connect with others on iChange.
- Hover over the Community tab on the top toolbar, click My Friends. You can invite friends who are already on iChange by using the search box at the top right.
- You can also Invite friends not currently on iChange from the Invite Friends page adding their email address to the form we provide.
How can I adjust my group email notifications?
To turn off email notifications for a group, go to the group page and uncheck the box on the right side for "email notifications". You will no longer receive an email each time someone posts to this group.
How do I adjust email notifications from Friends activity?
To turn off email notifications for individual friends journal entries go to the My Friends page. Under the Subscribe column click the envelope to the right of that friends name to turn it red. This will turn off email notifications for journal entries from that friend. Journal entries from that friend will still be visible in your activity feed.
Where can I keep track of my body measurements, weigh in or change my starting weight?
When you are logged in, hover your cursor over Tools at the left of the top menubar and click My Body.
How do I make a public post to someone's profile page?
To post on your friend’s wall, go to their profile page by clicking on their profile picture. Then click the “Activity” tab on the right side. Messages you post to a friend’s page will be viewable by anyone who views their profile.
How do I send a private message?
To send a private message, click on the envelope icon at the top right to go to your “Inbox”.
How do I remove a friend connection?
From the top toolbar, hover over Community and click My Friends. To remove a friend, click the "x" to the right of their username.
On MyFriends page, I see a green envelope to the right of my friend, what is this for?
When a friend posts a journal entry you will receive an email notification. The green envelope indicates that email notifications are turned on for that friend. To turn notifications off click the envelope to turn it red.
NOTE: Turning off the email notifications will not "block" or "hide" that friends journaling activity from your feed. You will still see their journal postings, but only within the activity feed on your homepage.
Is there a way to filter my activity feed to just see what I've done?
Yes, to filter for your own tracker entries click the down arrow next to "Everyone" and select, "Just Me". This setting will remain persistent unless you change it back to "Everyone".
I'm an Herbalife Distributor, how can I become a Wellness Coach on iChange?
- If you do not yet have an iChange account and would like to become a Wellness Coach on iChange click the green Coach Registration button on the homepage.
- If you already have an existing iChange client account and you are a distributor who would like to convert your existing client account to a coach account, login to your current iChange account and click here.
Can I share my iChange activity on my other social networks?
Yes, to share your activity feed items click the “Share” link and select the appropriate social network you’d like to share to.
NOTE: To share your iChange progress on Facebook, go to Settings and click the "Connections" tab to the right and connect your iChange account to your Facebook profile.
Groups
Who can create a group?
Any iChange member or Wellness Coach can create a group. Groups can be either public or private (invite only). To create a group, go to Groups on the top toolbar and click 'Create Group'.
How do I invite friends to join my Group?
At the top of the group page you will see a button that says, "Invite Friends" button. Click to begin inviting other iChange members!
NOTE: If the group is a private group, only the group creator can invite friends to join. If you are in a private group and would like to have a friend invited as the groups creator.
Can I post a link for my group on my Facebook wall, but the link doesn't connect. What could be wrong?
Yes, but first make sure you have connected your iChange account to your Facebook account. If you haven't done so, go to the Connections page and connect your account from there.
How can I delete my group??
As long as you are the creator of the group you can delete it by going to the group page and clicking the "Delete" link in the right column.
How do I share photos or other types of media with my Group?
You can share photos, pdf's, videos, etc with your group by clicking the "Attach Media" link at the bottom of the quick entry box.
Food
How do I add the food I ate to the Nutrition Journal?
- Click the “apple” icon on your homepage to access the Nutrition Journal Quick Entry.
- Put your cursor in the food entry field that says, “what did you eat”.
- Start typing the food you ate and the search results will appear as you type.
- Click on the result that most closely matches to select it.
- Set the mealtime (breakfast, lunch etc)
- Adjust the serving size as needed (0.25 = 1/4, 0.5 = 1/2 etc)
- Verify the date and the privacy level
- Click “Save”
I entered my breakfast this morning but forgot to add something, is it too late?
It's never too late to add additional food items. The easiest way is to go to the Nutrition and select the date you want to add food to, then start adding.
How do I view meals I’ve eaten this past week?
You can view foods you entered today or within a date range by visiting the Nutrition page.
How can I edit a serving size for a food I already saved to the Activity feed?
You can edit the serving size for any food you ate by visiting the Nutrition page. Select the date for the meal. Hover over the mealtime and click the pencil icon that will appear to the right of the food item you’d like to edit. NOTE: Serving size changes require a decimal e.g. 0.5 for ½ or 0.25 for a ¼.
How do I create a saved meal?
There are three ways to create a saved meal:
- Go to the My Saved Meals page and click "create meal".
- Once you publish a meal to the nutrition journal click the "save meal" link in the upper right corner of the item in your activity feed.
- Save your meal from your meal listing on the Nutrition page. Hover over the down arrow to the left of the mealtime to see a menu of options, including Save the Meal.
How do I add a Saved Meal to my Nutrition Journal?
From the nutrition journal food search, type the title of the saved meal you have already created. Saved meals and items in your pantry will always display at the top of your food search results. Click on the title to select it.
My Coach/Friend shared a Saved Meal with me but it does not come up in my food search, is something wrong?
No. Saved Meals that have been shared by a friend need to be "eaten" by you and saved as your own meal first. To do this go to your My Saved Meals page and click "I Ate This" for the shared meal to add it to your Nutrition Journal. From the Nutrition Journal item in your activity feed click "Save Meal" to create it as your own meal. That meal will now show up as one of your saved meals.
How do I add items to my pantry?
To add items to your pantry click the “+” button that is next to the food item of your meal or a friends meal when its published to the activity feed or on the Nutrition page.
I added items to My Pantry how do I access these items in the future?
When searching the food database for your nutrition journal, items in your pantry will show up first in the search results automatically as you type in food to log into your food journal.
What do the icons to the left of my food search results mean?
The icons to the left of your food search results identify where the result is generated.
How do you calculate the caloric burn rate?
Today’s Summarcluding Herbalify currently uses the Harris-Benedict method, which is recognized by many dietitians, including Herbalife's own Susan Bowerman and other nutritionists, to be an effective way to estimate caloric burn.
I've eaten more protein than fat today, why is the percentage of calories from fat greater?
The reason for this is due to the caloric density of those nutrients. We created a helpful table to explain this further. This can be accessed from the Nutrition page by clicking the "lightbulb" icon next to the "Total" column in the Nutrition Overview section of the Nutrition page.
How can I keep track of my fiber intake?
To view your total fiber grams eaten on 1 day or within a range go to the Nutrition page and set the date or date range that you’d like to view the total for. Fiber totals are also available from the Print Report on the Nutrition page.
I don't see the food that I ate listed in your food database, how can I add it?
To add a food to the iChange database, hover over Tools on the top toolbar and click Add food.

How do I delete an exercise entry?
To delete an exercise entry you can do two things:
- Hover over the item in your homepage activity feed and click the "X" that will appear at the top right corner of the item.
- Go to the dedicated Exercise page and set the date to the date for the exercise you’d like to delete. Locate the exercise and hover over it. Click the "X" to the right of that item.
How do I edit an exercise?
To edit an exercise entry go to the Exercise page and set the date to the date for the exercise you’d like to edit. Located the exercise and hover over it. Click the pencil icon to the right to open the edit box.
