After the 30 Day Challenge we begin the 2nd phase of the program, Emotional Eating (EE).

Emotional Eating Group Goals

1. Lose weight through behavior and attitude change.

Too often we only focus on the numbers on the scale when there are other ways to measure our success. We will be working on those behaviors and attitudes that caused you to gain weight.

2. To identify your personal obstacles and develop effective ways to overcome those obstacles.

Each one of you is unique and you enter this program with different experiences, skills, strengths, and problem areas. By working with the group we will identify those obstacles that have interfered with your ability to successfully lose weight in the past. Together we will find the most effective ways for you to overcome those obstacles so that you can achieve successful weight control.

3. To help you develop a sense of self-control and confidence in your ability to succeed.

If you've had difficulty in the past you will tend to evaluate yourself negatively. This tendency to be hard on yourself and think you have no self control will have a tremendous impact on your ability to succeed. The group will help you build confidence and self control.

4. To teach you the skills you need to achieve permanent weight control and a healthy lifestyle.

Everything you will be learning will prepare you for the most important part of the program - maintenance. Once you complete your weight loss goal, you will have the option of joining the weight maintenance program and I highly encourage it. Two-thirds of people on "diets" regain more weight than they lost within four or five years. We are not going to let that happen to you.
